Last Friday night the holiday season in Yellow Springs kicked off with a special ceremony honoring Yellow Springs’ recent selection by Ohio Magazine as one of Ohio’s five “Best Hometowns.” Shown here, villagers gathered under the recently lit trees to hear the presentation by Ohio Magazine Editor Rich Osborne on the steps of the Senior Center. A spirited original dance to “Mellow Yellow,” choreographed by Melissa Heston and performed by local adults and children, next took place in the courtyard in front of Sam and Eddie’s Open Books. A Third Friday Fling followed.
