After several jobs in the Dayton area, Rollin accepted a job with Antioch’s co-operative education department, where he placed thousands of students in field term jobs across the United States. Working with students was a great joy, and he took pleasure in finding jobs well suited to students’ interests. Rollin was active in tennis, bridge and local politics during his time in Yellow Springs, as well as raising three children: Glenn, who now lives in Marietta, Ga.; Allyn (Babitch), who lives in San Jose, Calif.; and Evan, who lives in Farmington, Minn.

Rollin moved to Sedona in 1977 after eight years at Beloit College in Wisconsin. Any of Rollin’s friends who would like more information about him or his memorial are invited to e-mail his son Evan at evan.brewer@district196.org.

At the end of Bud’s deployment in the Navy in World War II, the couple moved to Bud’s hometown of Harrisburg, where Frances established their home and had five children over a span of 20 years.  She and her husband maintained strong ties to family in South Bend and to Notre Dame, making annual trips during football season, and usually stopping to visit Yellow Springs along the way. Frances will always be remembered for her lively spirit and seemingly unlimited energy, her generosity, her Catholic faith and commitment to family.

She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years; two sisters, Helen (Las Vegas) and Theresa (South Bend); and a brother Julius (South Bend). Her survivors include a brother, Paul, of South Bend; a daughter Nance E. Gaston of Harrisburg; four sons and their wives: Edward III, of Yellow Springs; John of Ithaca, N.Y.; Robert of Aliso Viejo, Calif.; and Andrew of Indian Harbour, Fla.; ten grandchildren, including Miriam Eckenrode and Polo Chaikwang of Yellow Springs; and five great grandchildren.
