State Senate Representative, Dist. 10
Both the Ohio electorate and Greene County voters swung widely
Republican with resounding support for incumbent?? Chris Widener. Across
the state Widener won 62 percent of the vote to Roger Tackett’s
37 percent, while in Greene County Widener won nearly 66 percent with
41,549 votes to Tackett’s 21,449 votes, or 34 percent of the vote.
Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court
Maureen O’Connor and Evelyn L. Stratton won their seats
on the Ohio Supreme Court by overwhelming margins this week across the
state and in Greene County. In the county, O’Connor received 37,251
votes to Joseph Russo’s 14,456 votes, while Stratton garnered
34,437 votes to Peter Sikora’s 15,247. It was nearly a 70–30
percent split in both races.
County races
County recorder
Republican Eric Sears won the recorder’s seat with 35,681
votes to Mary Taylor’s 15,488 votes, which represents a square
60–40 percentage split.
County Treasurer
Republican James W. Schmidt won the treasurer’s seat
with 27,826 votes versus Democrat Corinna Grooms with 13,765 votes.
