The unpredictable spring weather held out for the 2008 Spring Street Fair,
making a wonderful day for hundreds of vendors and an estimated 10,000
visitors looking for arts and crafts, food items, music, dance and a general
good time. Above, young entrepreneurs Jesse Beard, Morgan Beard and
Saul Fairlee hoped to slake visitors’ thirst.

At left, Susan Miller and her granddaughter
Amelia Gray paused to rest on the steps of
the Presbyterian Church. Above, Joe Cook
and Carol Van Ausdal performed in front of
the Credit Union.

At right, Classic Jazz Stompers members Chris Moore, Nathan Moore, John
MacQueen and Erik Greiffenhagen found a spot to make music and many fans.
Hula hoops were the rage at the Bryan Center, where Arielle Johnson , below
left, and her mom, Jennifer Johnson, gave it a whirl.
