OBITUARIES

Miriam Dickinson

Miriam L. Dickinson died May 2, in Webster Springs, W.Va., where she had lived with her niece for the past 10 years. She was born in Marietta, Ohio, Jan. 23, 1908. She was 100.

She worked at Antioch College as registrar for at least 30 years, where she was fondly known as “Mom Dick” by students.

Miriam was a long-time active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Yellow Springs. She served as a deacon and an elder and directed the choir. She was very active in the Woman’s Association and took care of the kitchen for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her niece, Mary Leonard, of Webster Springs, W.Va.

Funeral services were held in Webster Springs on May 4. She will be buried in the Dickinson family plot in Marietta.
