Fall Street Fair Saturday

The Yellow Springs Street Fair will be held Saturday Oct. 13, 9 a.m.–6 p.m. The streets of downtown will be lined with booths selling fine arts and crafts, clothing, jewelry, fair trade items, unique gifts, massages and much more. Food from Thailand, Mexico, Vietnam, India and Ohio will be on the menu.

Street Fair entertainment throughout the day will include the Aerial Angels high-flying acrobats, the Egyptian Breeze Belly Dancers (performing at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.), clowns, magicians and more.

Live music, sponsored by Peach’s Grill, will be performed from noon until 6 p.m. at Mills Lawn Elementary School on Walnut Street.

The event is free, open to the public, and handicapped accessible. No pets will be allowed at Street Fair. Parking is available throughout town.

Library Association to host sale

On Saturday, Oct. 13, during the Street Fair, the YSLA will hold a “Jumble Sale,” also known as a tag sale, in the great room in the Senior Center on Xenia Avenue. New and used items will be available for purchase.

Donated items may be brought to the Senior Center on Friday, Oct. 12, between noon and 5 p.m. Donations of new or clean, gently used items such as ceramics, CDs, DVDs, small pieces of furniture, baskets or decorative items will be accepted. Clothing, bedding, appliances and “junk” are not acceptable.

Senior Center Bake, Weavers Sale

The Senior Center will hold its Fall Bake Sale and Weavers Sale on Street Fair Day, Saturday, Oct. 13, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Presbyterian Apple Festival Saturday

The First Presbyterian Church will hold its annual Apple Festival at the church, Saturday, Oct. 13, 11 a.m.–3 p.m. Patrons may enjoy homemade apple crisp, Young’s Jersey Dairy ice cream, coffee, hot and cold cider. Homemade apple butter will also be available for purchase.
