OBITUARIES

Marguerite Amole

Marguerite J. “Maggie” Amole of Norwood, N.C., formerly of Xenia, died Tuesday, July 17, at the Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle, N.C. She was 77.

She was born Sept. 6, 1929, in Framingham, Mass., the daughter of William and Anna Manning. She was the former owner and operator of Jo’s Drive-In in Xenia. She also worked at the Village Inn in Cedarville, as a retired bookkeeper with Walgreens, and she was a former member of Greene Country Club.

She is survived by her husband, James E. Amole, whom she married Sept. 12, 1957; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and James Anders, Yellow Springs, and Dianne and Brian Hagerich, Palm City, Fla.; four grandchildren and their partners, Joell and Phil Mangan, Beavercreek, Jodi and Casey Ferguson, Cedarville, Kelli and Andy Huesman, Beavercreek, and Rian Hagerich, Palm City, Fla.; and five great-grandchildren, Rilie, Trevor and Colin Mangan and Mallori and Caitlin Ferguson.

Memorial services were held Wednesday, July 25, at the Neeld Funeral Home, Xenia. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Greene County Humane Society, 492 West Second Street, Xenia, Ohio 45385.
