‘Spring forward’ jumps backward
Daylight Saving Time (DST) will go into effect on Sunday, March 11, at 2 a.m. This is the fifth change since its adoption in the United States in 1918. Although the shift is meant to save energy by bringing daylight hours more in line with normal working hours, it may also create problems with devices that are not expecting the “spring forward” for another month, such as most home computers.
