Youth basketball finishes tourney
The Yellow Springs youth traveling basketball teams competed in the Kenton Trace Conference (KTC) tournament last Saturday, Feb. 24. Both the fifth-grade boys and fifth-grade girls teams were seeded eighth and both played first-seed East Clinton. The sixth-grade girls were seeded sixth, and they played third-seed East Clinton. All three teams played well, including a second-half comeback by the sixth-grade girls, who fell 4 points short of advancing.

YSHS winter sports ceremony

The Yellow Springs High School and McKinney School winter sports awards ceremony will be March 8 at 7 p.m. at the high school. The event will honor the McKinney basketball team and cheerleading squad as well as the high school’s swimming and basketball teams and cheerleading squad.
