| The rain did not diminish the turnout
at the Martin Luther King Day march through town, which ended with
the annual post-march event at the Central Chapel AME Church, where
over 250 people gathered to sing and share memories of the civil rights
orator. AME Rev. John Freeman led marchers down Xenia Avenue (top),
and a young girl dressed all in red followed with her parents (right.)
At the church, Reese Elam joined congregants to clap and sing songs
of unity and freedom. |
