OBITUARIES
Jeffrey Hunter
Jeffrey Eugene Hunter of Springboro passed away
Saturday, Aug. 12, at his residence. He was 39.
Jeffrey was raised in Yellow Springs and was a graduate
of Yellow Springs High School. He was a 1989 graduate of Central State
University and was employed by Federal Express. He was a member of Southbrook
Christian Church where he was a prominent member of the Worship Arts Community.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Anne of Springboro;
parents, James E. and Anna E. (Jackson) Hunter of Enon; son, Jackson at
home; two stepsons, Daniel and Samuel Robinson of Springboro, two stepdaughters,
Kathryn and Bridget Robinson of Springboro; a sister, Melissa B. Hunter
of Springfield; nieces and nephew, Jessica and Julia Thomas and Philip
Gates.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday,
Aug. 17, at the Southbrook Christian Church, 1150 Spring Valley Road,
with Pastor Charles McMahan officiating and burial immediately following.
Arrangements are in care of Tobias Funeral Home, Far Hills Chapel, 5471
Far Hills Avenue at Rahn Road.
Earl Boyersmith
Earl Clarence Boyersmith of Benton Harbor, Mich., passed
away on Tuesday, July 25. He was 92.
He married Burneice Fay (Mills) Nov. 20, 1937, and
had two sons, Jeffrey Arthur and Herbert Joseph. Earl enjoyed his work
as a model maker at Whirlpool for 36 years. He was a life member of the
Free & Accepted Masons of Michigan, Lakeshore Lodge 298.
He lost Burneice to cancer in 1980 after 42 years of
marriage. In 1981, he married Mary Alice Huston, formerly of Yellow Springs,
and they recently celebrated 25 years together.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice; his sons and
daughters-in-law, Jeff and Mary of Springfield, Ore., and Herb and Dorothy
of Herperia, Calif.; his stepson, Robert Owen of New Orleans; stepdaughter,
Donna Owen of Jamestown, seven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren;
and eight great-grandchildren.
