OBITUARIES
Hobert Boggs Jr.
Rev. Hobert Boggs Jr. of Springfield died Friday,
July 14, in his residence. He was 75. He was born Dec. 18, 1930, in New
Boston, Ohio, to Hobert N. and Herma Louise (Jackson) Boggs.
Hobert retired as a supervisor with Vernay Laboratories
after 30 plus years of service. He was pastor of Chapel of Prayer Christian
Center and a United States Army Korean War veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marjorie A.
(Ballinger) Boggs; four children and their spouses, Robert L. and Cynthia
Boggs, South Vienna, Ohio, Debi and Mark Fent, Thomas E. Boggs, Springfield,
and Dana and Richard Neff, Virginia; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren;
a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Jane Boggs, Springfield; and numerous
nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 19, in the
Conroy Funeral Home with burial in Ferncliff Cemetery.
Bill Preis memorial
A memorial service for Bill Preis, in care of the Yellow
Springs Friends Meeting, will be held Saturday, July 22, at 2 p.m., at
the Glen Helen Building. Preis died on May 30.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton,
324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45420.
Correction:
In the July 6 obituary for Margaret E.
Price of Yellow Springs, who passed away Friday, June 30, some of the
survivors’ names were omitted. The omitted names were of grandchildren
Terri and John Paulaskas and Chris and Pat Moore.
