Youth soccer program to start spring season

Games for the spring season of the Yellow Springs Youth Soccer Program will begin on Saturday, April 8.

Players will remain on the teams that they were assigned to in the fall.

New players are welcome to sign up by calling Bob Curley for Bronze Cup (767-7070), Lynn or Bill Hardman for Silver Cup (767-8433), and V.A. Onfroy-Curley for Gold Cup (767-7070). Copper Cup players do not need to register.

Coaches will contact their players to schedule practices. For more information, call Jim Hardman at 767-2200.

Major League sign-up

Youth Baseball Yellow Springs will hold tryouts/sign-ups for the Major League on Saturdays, April 8 and April 15, 3–5 p.m., at Gaunt Park. Kids 11 to 14 may play in the league. No experience is needed, but new and returning players should bring a glove.

Clinics will be held in April and May, “spring training” is scheduled for May, and the season will begin June 3.

The league needs more volunteers to coach, umpire, keep score, maintain the field and sell food. For more information, contact Bob Morrison at 767-1703 or drbobmorrison@sbcglobal.net.
