The second half was an intense fight into the final period, when Tenia Scarver drove down the floor and scored between two defenders to cut the Rams’ lead to 1. Jessica Walker made a couple of steals, and Ashanta Robinson scored on several fast breaks. The teams were still trading the lead with just two minutes remaining. With the Bulldogs patiently running their offense, Carly Bailey scored a short jumper with just 7 seconds left. The Lady Bulldogs and Jefferson were neck and neck until the final quarter when Yellow Springs outscored the Broncos, 17–6. The Lady Bulldogs spread their shooting around. Robinson scored 12 points, and Burrick and Scarver each scored 11, while Jenny Barnett, Walker, Bailey and Ryder Comstock also contributed to the win.
