OBITUARY

Howard Adams

Howard Stansbury Adams died unexpectedly on Saturday, Nov. 26. He was 79.

As a real estate developer in Columbus for over 50 years, he was involved with numerous developments, including Sharon Woods, Muirfield Village and the Capitol South Downtown redevelopment. He was a decorated veteran of World War II, a graduate of Bowling Green University, a founding member of Delta Tau Delta and a certified public accountant.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Lillian Adams, and his sister, Martha Huston.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joan; his children and their spouses, Bill and Diane Adams, Jim Adams, and Beth and Shawn Organ; grandchildren, Erin Adams, Kelsey Connor and Alec Organ, Lillian Adams, Haley Schmidt; a brother-in-law; sister-in-law and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family received friends on Nov. 29 at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel in Worthington. He was buried in Glen Forest Cemetery in Yellow Springs. Memorial contributions may be made to a scholarship fund at the Bowling Green State University that Howard established to benefit education majors.
