Dorothy Hatfield

Dorothy Hatfield died Sunday, Oct. 9, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, Wis. She was 89.

She was born on Oct. 16, 1915, in Yellow Springs, the daughter of Louis and Mabel (Hamilton) Gegner. She married Dr. Edgar M. “Bus” Hatfield on June 5, 1940.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, who died in 1999.

She is survived by nephews and nieces, Dick and Kathy Hatfield, Janet Hixon and Mike Hatfield, all of Springfield. A graveside memorial service was held Wednesday, Oct. 19, at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Milwaukee. Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, Wis., is in charge of arrangements.
