Richard Freeland

Richard Freeland Sr. of Xenia died Sunday, Aug. 28, at his residence. He was 60.

He was born Sept. 27, 1944, in Montgomery County, the son of Louis V. and Martha (Craig) Freeland. Richard was employed at Morris Bean & Co. since he was 18. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard Jr. and Teresa Freeland, and Tim and Tara Freeland, all of Xenia; a sister, Violet Adams of Wilmington; and grandchildren, Tasha Strickland, Jeremy Freeland, Tyler Freeland and Sierra Freeland.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 1, at 2 p.m., at the McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 North Detroit Street in Xenia, with burial following in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia. The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 1 to 2 p.m., at the funeral home.
