Girls hoops clinics
Basketball clinics for girls entering fourth
through sixth grades will be held Fridays, 6–7 p.m., in the Bryan
Community Center gym. The first session is planned for Aug. 19.
The program is designed to provide instruction and
skill building for girls new to basketball and those already participating
in the program. Each clinic will consist of fundamentals instruction and
drills, dribbling and shooting games, and scrimmages.
The clinics complement the KTC (Kenton Trace Conference)
traveling team program that includes four Yellow Springs teams of girls
and boys in the fifth and sixth grades. Fourth graders are eligible to
play on the fifth-grade teams. Teams form in November and the season starts
in January. Interested players may register onsite. For more information,
call Rich Miller at 767-2049.
