Solid Foundation
Keith Pearson of Xenia drilled a hole in a sill plate, which supports a floor system, of the new affordable house being built by Yellow Springs Home, Inc., at Dayton and High Street. Pearson is working with Bruce Parker, who owns Azur Contracting, and his son, Lee Parker. Bruce Parker plans to organize a community house-raising event early next year, and Home, Inc., estimates that the house will be completed by early spring. Both Lee and Keith are seniors studying carpentry at the Greene County Career Center.
