‘News’ changes deadlines

The News is temporarily moving its deadlines for classified ads and editorial copy to Mondays at 5 p.m., beginning next week.

The deadline applies for classified advertising as well as letters to the editor, “In and around Yellow Springs” submissions, news items and announcements.

Obituaries will continue to be accepted on Tuesdays.

The deadline for display advertising remains Mondays at noon.
The change in deadlines coincides with a change in the time the News is printed, to 10 a.m. from 1 p.m. on Wednesdays.

This change was instituted after a fire broke out in the press room of the News’ printer, The Madison Press, in London, Ohio, on Saturday, Sept. 11.
The Press estimates it could take two months before its press is up-and-running again.

In the meantime, the News is being printed by the Troy Daily News.
The new schedule will not affect local distribution of the papaer.
