OBITUARIES

LaVerne Dunbar
LaVerne Cravens Dunbar of Xenia died Friday, June 11, at Greene Memorial Hospital. She was 80.

Born on March 13, 1924, in Russell County, Ky., she was the daughter of Wilbur V. and Nancy Purdom Richards Cravens.

She was a member of Faith Community United Methodist Church, OES Aldora Chapter No. 62, Kentucky Cornels, Greater Dayton UK Alumni Club and National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors Chapter 23. LaVerne retired from YSI Incorporated, where she had been a supervisor.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Earl Dunbar; and her parents.

She is survived by her sister Vivian Ingram of Columbia, Ky.; nieces and nephews, Earlene and Russell Queen of Melbourne, Fla., and Nancy and Lester Dixon of Staunton, Va.; two great-nieces; four great-great-nieces and nephews; and several cousins.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 12, at McColaugh Funeral Home in Xenia. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Columbia Cemetery in Columbia, Ky.

Mary Letson memorial
A memorial service for Mary Letson will be held Saturday, June 26, at 2 p.m., in Westminster Hall, First Presbyterian Church. Letson died at the age of 71 on Thursday, May 27.
