October Street Fair this Saturday

The Yellow Springs Chamber of Commerce will sponsor the Street Fair Saturday, Oct. 11, 9 a.m.–5 p.m., in downtown Yellow Springs. The fair takes place rain or shine.

Now in its fourth decade, the Street Fair will feature more than 185 vendor booths, almost half of which will be occupied by Yellow Springs residents, businesses or organizations. Seventy-five percent of the vendors have participated in previous Street Fairs.

Several downtown streets will be closed to traffic from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. These are Xenia from Limestone to Corry; Walnut from Limestone to Elm; Glen from Xenia to Kieth’s Alley; all of Short; and Corry from Xenia to Dayton. The post office will be open, but it will not be accessible by car.

Live music begins at 1 p.m. at Mills Lawn with the Yellow Springs Apostolic Church; the Todd Mullins Group will play from 2:30 to 3:45, followed by Sound Investment from 3:45 to 4:45.
